If the context of a post isn't sufficiently clear for one to know the post is being made in an official capacity or not, one need only ask. It's that simple.
Are you guys beginning to see my point about the advantages of having "regular use accounts" for arguing in the forum and "mod accounts" for watching over the forum?
On more than one occasion, a mod has HAD TO SAY something like, "Notice the green font of my name...". Well, no, actually, I didn't. My laptop shows that dark green text in a near-black color that I could not distinguish from deep green.
Your red, of course, is unambiguous.
