I am, and always have been, a very logical person. I love logic, math, science, ect... And logically, I couldn't figure out why this good loving God would make me gay.

If you are familiar with the Bible you should know that the human race is no longer in the condition in which God created it. Because of sin we are now subject to death and are tempted to act in ways that are contrary to God's will. All of us are tempted in different ways and being attracted to others of the same sex is just on manifestation of a condition that everyone experiences.

I don't know what your church taught you but while the Bible condemns homosexual activity it doesn't ever say that being tempted to such activity is a sin. Here is a good place to learn about homosexuality from a Biblical perspective:
