Views on the Death Penalty? (a poll)

I am for it in the most extreme cases. I'm all for rehabilitation, but there are some people who can't be. The sickest of sickos should not be allowed anywhere near people, which means if we don't kill them they need to be in solitary indefinitely. Which isn't really an option because complete solitary destroys the mind. Any amount of freedom would be a possible threat, and the amount of isolation that would be required for safety would be such that we might as well kill them.

When I hear a story like some woman who was put in chanrge of someone's child for two weeks, and wound up torturing her to death over a week for flirting with boys, the only response I can have is kill it with fire. It's likely mainly just the anger stage of grief kicking in, when I hear or read about something like that, but I think it's at least somewhat justified.

I'm not even talking about killing a killer. I'm talking about someone who does something where if you made a horror movie out of it you'd probably have to tone it down so the general audience would find it believable.
