Maybe I'm not making any sense. I'm just a bit fascinated by asexual people. I think they are naturally very prescient or even more rational than the rest of us, for some reason. And I value rationality more than pleasure. That's all =)
So my real question might be, here: Are we all going to become asexual in the future?
The reason we get pleasure from sex is for evolutionary purposes: so we would seek to reproduce as much as possible, so that our race might flourish. But I think nature has a way of policing itself, and so, since we are already the predominant race and even face the risk of overpopulation and scarceness of resources, maybe humanity will, in time, get less and less pleasure from sex, seeing how it would become less important...
Get what I mean, now?
Nature might not give a damn about pleasure for pleasure's sake. It's all done with a purpose, I think. And since sex doesn't exactly serve any important purpose other than reproduction, maybe we'll just stop having sex, given enough time. Maybe we'll just develop some kind of immunity to pleasure of a sexual kind, or smth. What do you guys think?
