I've got two questions Penguin, if they're not too personal. If they are by all means just ignore them
1) Can I ask what age you began to consider yourself "asexual". I'm not saying you are, but I've only met three people of who all were men in their early twenties/ late teens claim to be asexual. All three of them have since come out as being gay or bisexual.
Are you sure you've got no urges so to speak, or could it simply be you've not met anyone you really like that much? I've always known I liked men (so never asexual) but I really did think I had a sex drive of almost zero before I met my current partner. I'd even dated more than a dozen men and the idea of getting it on with any of them just didn't do it for me. It wasn't that I found the idea of sex unpleasant, but I'd never got that "
WANT! " feeling.
2) Would you say it affects your ability to empathize or feel other emotions? I've never met one but supposedly asexual women were recorded as being rather more apathetic and introverted compared to their heterosexual counterparts, I've no idea if this is a fair assessment or not.
