I sometimes do have a fantasy of going back in roman times with an assault rifle to battle Roman army. I just imagine intercepting whole army somewhere in the field in front of me. They walk toward me not realizing I'm actually armed and then I just start shooting at them and kill them all in like 2 minutes.
Or being in a fort under siege while enemy army of Romans are standing outside preparing and then I just take the sniper and take down the leader so they shit themselves.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
