Your argument would be proven false even if the all of the Bible was 100% against polygamy, because they wear special underwear and follow the book of Mormon, not the Bible. Tell him to stop supporting his beliefs with the Bible unless he wants to take an all encompassing approach, and stop cherry picking from things he doesn't even follow anyways.
