This is true, but I am a strong believer in doing it Francis's way:
"Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words." - Saint Francis of Assisi.
In other words live the gospel in your actions by following the teachings of Jesus, being kind to others, turning the other cheek always. And when warranted (in questions/discussions), talk about your faith.
Unfortunately, a lot of people don't get this.
this is what happens in Budhism in that the budhist tries to be an example of compasion instead of a voice about it. Karma or not, reincarnation or not I'm ussualy impressed with the monks words of plain and simple advice.
