I can see that, given the percentages. But we are not all racist assholes (I am white and over 50). My mother, who is very old and white, is very much against racism and would have just about killed me and my siblings if we had been expressing racist ideas while growing up. She would not have tolerated such nonsense at all. But not everyone is like my mother.
And yes, racism is silly. I normally use words like "stupid" and "idiotic" to describe racism. But "silly" works, too.
As for being wary of the over 50s I suppose it's more I try not speak first just let them come to me sort of thing. Especially since I have sort through the ignorant and out of date people who mean no harm and someone who's an ass.
