Typical Maher, a polemicists somewhere down market of of Michael Moore ,if that's possible .
The clips is certainly a bit wry, but I don't mistake its contents for rational argument. Maher is a comic ,who can can be mildly amusing, but he's no philosopher.
The sweeping generalisation that believers are irrational, crazy or stupid is bigoted nonsense.
One really should try not to judge all believers by those who tend infest atheist forums and the dropkicks who make the news. Most believers I run across in real life seem to be sane enough, until religion comes up. At such times some may come over all unnecessary and we're allowed to kill them.
Having said that ,the leader of the opposition here is Tony Abbot. He is a rabid Catholic who takes advice from that slimy Cardinal George Pell, protector of child molesting priests and general Catholic apologist. Abbot may well be our next Prime Minister, a thought I find exceedingly disconcerting.
