Peaceful? Yes. Most Swedes value solidarity and pacifism and are on the whole a quite an agreeable people. Intelligent? Not so much. They have absolutely horrible statistics when it comes to education. In The PISA survey 2009 (forgive me, I was lazy and didn't check for newer data) Sweden was ranked 20th in reading, 26th in mathematics and 29th in science (out of 656 countries/areas). That's not good. Though, to Sweden's favor, they have a lot of ingenuity and entrepreneurship and the brilliant minds there are definitely world class.

Indeed, but as I said, they are so set on being equal and tolerant to everyone that in the end they go to far and everything is unequal. I would hate for Sweden to become a bigoted land like Finland (it's no secret that we are not tolerant to other cultures and frankly quite racist), but they could grow a stronger backbone.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
