Here's another source of knowledge: authority. If someone else that I trust has an experience that I haven't had, I might decide that I accept it, because I trust that person.

There are lots of highly technical scientific theories and and mathematical proofs that I don't understand at all. But I'm inclined to think many are true, based on the expertise and experience of others.
