Ongoing investigations into the conditions and quality of life people are made to endure because of wrongful action and reporting on such might be "staged" in the fact that it's organized and presented, but it isn't negatively staged.
Otherwise the investigations overseas into horrors we never see wouldn't get revealed to us. And this shit happens in our own backyard.
Am I exploiting someone with my camera simply because I'm making you confront a visual image of something I could very well have painted with a brush - or words? If I bring a human element into a piece to tell you what impact such actions are having on fellow members of our race, am I exploiting someone or am I detailing reality in a way that makes you (not you personally, but the general you) uncomfortable?
