Yeah, my understanding is that in lucid dreaming, you hit an actual sleep state first, then use a device to realize you're dreaming, whereas in AP, you go directly to that state without surrendering yourself to sleep first.
True but astral projection is basically a WILD (Wake-initiated lucid dream). In my opinion they're all just lucid dreams but I think when you go into the experience with the intention of "astral projection" then your lucid dream is going to look like some spooky "astral realm"
