I think it depends on what we all mean by mindblowingly-batshittery most. If you're thinking about which has the most unbelievable stuff in it, Hinduism definitely takes the cake in my opinion. If you're talking about whose followers do the craziest stuff, Hinduism is probably least deserving of that title at this point.

I was thinking more of the caste system and dharmic fate.

As for the 'playing well with others bit', they're really no different than another religions.  Run-of-the-mill Hindus tend to stay home and mind their own business.  Hindu extremists have a proud and time-honoured tradition of killing people who have the gall to disagree with them.

The caste system was originally based on profession. At some point the people made it based on birth, and then all hell broke lose. 
And yeah, Hindus have their share of extremists who are just as bad as extremists in other major religions. I think that for the most part, the percentage of total Hindus that are Hindu extremists is not as much as the equivalent in other major religions, which may make Hindus seem comparatively peaceful. 

Isn't this the religion in which the mother-in-law lords it over the wife and has sometimes thrown acid her face.  Something like that maybe.

Mother-in-law lords it over the wife? Yes, absolutely. Though as with all other things, it's changing. There are far more nuclear families now, and many wives who lord it over the mother-in-law, at this point. The acid thing.... never heard of that.
