Science has consistently and repeatedly busted the idea that humans have a set cure.
This seems a little strange to me. Does it seem to you that philosophy offers a "set cure"?
Granted, various philosophers say that we should all do one thing or the other. Is that what you mean by a "set cure"? Some kind of program for curing something that's wrong?
Arguably it is science which attempts to offer "set cures" for various problems. If we find out, provably and objectively, what is wrong in a given case, then the "cure" will be "set." We would all like a "set cure" for certain viruses, and when it comes it will come through science.
Unfortunately there are times (not always) when the scientists offering the "cure" are unaware of their own ideologies. What seems like a "cure" to them may take for granted various assumptions about what the desired outcome would be.
The history of science is full of cases where the objective provable set cure for a problem (e.g. societal inequality or perceived de-evolution) turned out to be something like forced sterilization or an enforced hierarchy in society that made women or black people into lower-class citizens.
It is philosophy which questions and challenges these assumptions, about which scientists may not be aware. We all have ideologies, if we have some notion that society should be one way rather than another. Philosophy's job is to make us aware of our assumptions about such matters, question whether we are right or not, and offer alternatives.
Nietzsche was probably the most important modern guy in challenging our unexamined assumptions about values and goals.
