Quote:Well I said I would look into it and so I did. The fact is, tyre was destroyed. The attack of nebuchadnezzar was 586 to 573 bc. It was 13 yeas of siege until it was finally destroyed. It wasn't completely destroyed but the ruins on the island fort are still there today.
Um, that's not what your fucking "prophet" said.
Quote:19 “This is what the Sovereign LORD says: When I make you a desolate city, like cities no longer inhabited, and when I bring the ocean depths over you and its vast waters cover you, 20 then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of long ago. I will make you dwell in the earth below, as in ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, and you will not return or take your place[c] in the land of the living. 21 I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more. You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign LORD.”Ezekiel 26
Who the fuck are you to re-define scripture so it fits with reality? Looks like god fucked up big time.
For the record, Nebuchadnezzar did not destroy the city. Tyre was not conquered until Alexander the Great built a causeway out to it a couple of centuries later, knocked down the walls with battering rams and sacked the place. Your fucking 'god' did not mention "Alexander." Even Alex did not destroy the city which was far too valuable a harbor to be abandoned.
By the way, you may want to brush up on your "scripture" ( and I get tired of telling you guys what is in your own book )
Quote:Matthew 15:21-28
21 And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.
So not only was it not destroyed but fucking jesus went there on his grand walking tour of the ANE.
BTW, how come when jesus freaks trot it out it is not an "obscure" reference but evidence of fulfilled prophecy? Until, that is, it is pointed out that the prophecy is a complete failure. Then it becomes "obscure?"
Methinks thou are full of shit, chippy.
