this whole tolerance vs intolerence argument doesnt make sense really, the waitress was out of order mainly from what i can see for 2 reasons.
Its ok to be disgusted with whatever you want, i would be disgusted by two men kissing but i wouldnt go over and critisize them and tell them they shouldnt have children, just in the same way i wouldnt randomly go over to someone and tell them thier food choice was bad or tell them their girlfriend is ugly.
Its also out of order because of the unprofessionalism of it shes a waitress.
And from my life experience it seems to me that sexuality isnt a choice so it isnt like the waitress was just being critical of a choice they made she was insulting them personally, i dont choose to like women, in fact i cant stop my eyes from staring at tits in work by accident even when im trying not to.
and also homosexuality isnt something that effects other people, as in the people in the resteraunt werent effecting anyone badly by just sitting there being lesbians

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
