Yes, all this was revealed to him from Allah. The way he ate dates to break fast, and the way he used miswak and the benefits of honey. The way he told us the stories of the previous prophets' pbut lives. All of these things he received as knowledge from Allah. Did he make mistakes? Of course he was only a human being. But he was the best example placed by Allah for mankind to follow. So again u have to believe the Qur'an and whatever else u think is right. I can't nor am I worried about making that decision for u. Allah is not going to judge me or anybody else on what u believe and don't believe. So what I believe are sound ahadith from our Prophet Muhammad saws Allah will judge me, on how I interpret them and use them to live my life and likewise He will not hold u or anybody else accountable for my deeds. So we have to follow our hearts and ask Allah to guide us to the truth. But I can't judge u nor any other human nor can u judge me. So yes Allah's peace be on Prophet Muhammad saws and all of us as His righteous servants.

How does my bold, go with your previous comment:

Quote:Sheed said:
What I said was in the Qur'an are the verses where Allah says "Nor does he (Muhammad) say aught of his own accord. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him" Surah 53:3-4. So Allah says here that all the knowledge the Prophet Muhammad pbuh has to tell us as mankind is received by God Allah's inspiration.

If everything Mohammed did was a revelation -by your own words-, then how did he -also by your own words- did mistakes?
Does God reveal mistakes ?

Why does God exposes Mohammed in Sura 33 ? in my previous comment?
Stop running and face this question; or we have no discussion.

Again:

Quote:So Allah says here that all the knowledge the Prophet Muhammad pbuh has to tell us as mankind is received by God Allah's inspiration.
===
Did he make mistakes? Of course he was only a human being.

How does the above match?

Moreover:

Quote:So Allah says here that all the knowledge the Prophet Muhammad pbuh has to tell us as mankind is received by God Allah's inspiration.
===
The ahadith are the way that Prophet Muhammad pbuh applied the laws and knowledge he received from Allah.

?  I thought you said it was sent by God? The Hadith?

And worse, you're blaming your reasoning that gave birth to the contradiction on God.

And members of AF, this is why I LEFT THE SUNNI FAITH.
The Shia version of Islam is even worse.
Again u misunderstand my point. I said the Prophet Muhammad saws was a human being and yes this means he erred and made mistakes. But the knowledge he received from Allah was not mistaken. Allah does not make mistakes. So I never said everything the Prophet saws did in his life was revealed as knowledge from Allah. But the things that were revealed to him from Allah was not mistaken but planned by Allah to His messenger to mankind. For example u as a Muslim I would assume u pray to Allah at least 5 times a day. Before u pray u make ablution or wudu. In the Qur'an Allah tells us to wash our faces, hands to the elbows, wipe the heads, and feet to the ankles with water. So when we rinse our mouths, and noses and blow the water out and cleanse our ears where does that come from? Things like this that we do every single day as Muslims are given in detail in the hadith so we know how to do it the way the Prophet saws did who is the best model for mankind to follow. Such as eating and drinking. Allah tells us in the Qur'an not to be like Shaitan. How do we know how to do this? So He sends knowledge to His messenger saws who tells us in a hadith don't eat and drink with our left hands, for Shaitan does these with his left. How about actions concerning Hajj? Allah gives the law of the do's and don'ts of the Hajj in the Qur'an, just as He gives the do's and don'ts of not being like the Shaitan in the Qur'an. However He doesn't go into detail on how to perform them. So without Him guiding the Prophet Muhammad saws in the Hadith, where Allah's revelation of knowledge to Muhammad saws shows him how to show us as His servants exactly what to do. If not, then we would just go to Mecca to the Ka'bah and follow all the verses of the Qur'an pertaining to Hajj (2:125, 2:158, 2:189, 2:196-198, 2:200-201, 2:203, 3:96-97, 5:1-2, 5:94-96, 9:2, 9:36-37, 22:26-29, 22:33, 22:36, 48:27) and then say we have completed the Hajj. Or we might say '" I'm Muslim and obeying Allah, so I'm not being like Shaitan" But with Allah granting the Prophet saws knowledge on exactly how to perform these things in detail, then we can receive extra blessings from Allah by following the path He gave to His messenger saws for us to follow. Allah speaks continuously in the Qur'an about being kind and respectful to each other as humans especially towards young children. So if He sends this message to all mankind through His messenger who sets the example of Allah's word, wouldn't u think he as Allah's messenger would do it the best way for us to follow? So how could u even think for a single second that our Prophet Muhammad saws, Allah's greatest example for mankind to follow, would do something to the nature of that false hadith u sent me? So again I agree with u that all hadith are not true, but we have to seek Allah's guidance and use our own judgment on which ones we want to follow as true. And again I am not judging u because u don't believe in any Hadith, and u shouldn't judge me as well. But an interesting question to u is as a Muslim how do u do certain things like eating with just ur right hand, and making istinja and istibra(as a male) after excreting waste, and making wudu rinsing ur mouth and nose, among many other things that aren't listed in the Qur'an as how to do them, but are listed in Hadith? Wouldn't it seem like ur following hadith in certain ways even though u say they're not true? Something to think about my brother.
