But when someone who is my friend does something that I think was out of line, I say something. Perhaps you did not understand that the part that upset me was the friend having kudosed something that was clearly meant to make fun of me. I don't care about the making fun, I care about my friendships here.

You're getting bent out of shape because an internet friend offended you by giving someone kudos. That's the epitome of thin skinned.
I won't deny I am sensitive when it comes to people I've opened up to. Doesn't matter if it's online or off. But that's not because I have thin skin, it's because I put a lot of stock in relationships of any kind. If I was thin skinned I would have left this forum a long time ago.
