I mean, I'm not a leftist, so hopefully I don't fall under that umbrella. I think Bernie would have won in the areas where Clinton failed miserably, but who knows, maybe Trump would have won anyway.
The point of keeping Bernie in the conversation to me is keeping him relevant; the Democrats will need him and his supporters if they want to defeat Trump in 2020. His base are active when they have a cause worth fighting for, and if he can get them to get out and vote for the next Democratic candidate, they might have a chance.
