But theists just don't offer a more just solution with their payback in the afterlife.(January 8, 2017 at 12:32 pm)robvalue Wrote: I'm saying that if something designed humans, it is shit. If it's some floaty little special angel of whatever-ness, I'll call it shit anyway. If it's some nameless force causing people to rape people because of things they did when they were someone else, I'll call it shit also.
I wouldn't take it too seriously.
It seems that you are not very happy with what we humans got Rob.
We got the law of action and reaction, we got the positive and negative we got the gravity law and so on.
These laws are design to keep the universe going and going and at the same time they give us the possibility to improve.
The karma law follow the same logic but atheists think that is at odd with all the rest.
Only when atheists and all the rest will understand that the karma is not at odd with all other universal laws then we will have a better world but it is a question of wake up and grow up.
Having everybody believe in karma will not stop them from doing bad things anymore than the threat of going to jail in this life. The United States has more laws than any other nation. We also have more peope in jail than any other nation.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
