Can anyone tell me if any of the divine texts specifically say that we earthlings are exclusive to God?
I will hazard a guess and say no. ( simply because they weren't aware of these other possibilities back then.)
Then can a theist tell me why people say that humans are God's ONLY children.
That's not even cherry picking, that's just making stuff up, isn't it?
Or is it implied?
The Bible doesn't specifically state there is no life on other planets. People of that time wouldn't have understood all the lights in the night sky were stars excluding the moon as far as they knew. The reason many Christians including myself believe there is no life (intelligent) on other planets is because the fall of Adam and Eve corrupted the entire creation. We do not believe God would have allowed the on other worlds to be punished and not know why. Also Christ came to give His life for mankind (created man of earth), nothing is said His life, death and resurrection was for anything other than the people on this planet. Let me say this the Christian community I know doesn't spend much time wondering about this because our mission is with people here on earth. Hope that answers your question.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
