As long as the number of pixels across that 30 degrees is such that the eye is just a smidge to far away to resolve them, I wouldn't complain. Don't make me get out my HP41CX to work out the angles subtended by pixels !!
Neglecting HDR and an expanded color palette for the moment, detail in the picture is the point of HD. Sitting too far away means you're de-rezing the picture, and I can not bear the thought of that !!
With the eye just a skosh further than the distance where the individual pixels would start to become visible is the 'definition' of the sweet spot.
How much further away (and how much resulting less visible detail) would anyone seriously recommend than the 'sweet spot' ?? Double the distance so you effectively see your 4K picture in '2K' ?? Or 4 times the distance to see your 4K picture in 'regular' HD ??
