She was a literal SJW, but obviously you know that these days, we use the term pejoratively to talk about people who pose as SJWs in a form of self-validation.

The critical difference is the way the person forms a relationship between a cause and a behavior (like a rant):
-A conscientious citizen might rant in an effort to educate and persuade, in achieving an important goal. They hope if they speak effectively (or just loudly) enough, they might achieve some useful results.
-A SJW pretends to adopt an important goal so he gets the right to go off on rants. He thinks if he acts offended enough, we all have to listen to his righteous indignation (read: verbal masturbation).
