This seems to be, at best, an argument against the Argument from Evil, rather than an argument for the existence of God. It doesn't matter how good you make God out to be, or how well you reconcile the existence of evil with a good, omnipotent God; there's still no sufficiently justified rational reason to believe such a God is real in the first place.
It's an attempt but complete failure at even addressing the Argument from Evil.
And yes, even if a good God that is 100% powerful and 100% knowledgable were possible (it isn't possible but even if it were).... there's still no evidence for such a God.
His argument is declared as addressing the argument form evil. He simply declares that he is addressing it.... but then.... he doesn't even address it. Lol.
And the logic from the argument from evil is completely undefeatable anyway. Only time I've actually seen it successfuly ADDRESSED is when people say that God allows evil because he thinks giving people the free will is more important than preventing evil. 1. It isn't. God should make us all permanently happy conscious biological robots incapable of doing evil without free will if he's truly good. 2. Free will isn't even fucking possible and we already are conscious biological robots... we're just not all happy or incapable of doing evil, because there isn't a good God.
