Maybe you should have used Puni wale as your username on this site instead of Haipule.
I made two separate statements you turned into "circular reasoning". It's my fault. It wasn't what I meant. I'm sorry. I ain't no "believer" either. I trust God. I do not "believe". That's a bad translation. God NEVER asked me to believe in Him. He only asked me to trust Him. And this I have done which resulted in one of the most adventurous and successful lives I have ever seen!
Belief is the psychological state in which one accepts a premise or proposition as being true. If you accept the proposition that "God" exists, you do believe. This is a separate issue on whether you "trust" or not.

Oh but, that's just anecdotal. I, graduated from California public high school, in Surf City USA, a stupid surfer whom never rubbed two nickels together and called it a dime. Yet, I wish I had a dime for every dime I have! I also did not graduate from college--fuck school!
Yeah, I know plenty of people who have turned their lives around without 'Jesus'.
I also graduated from the LAUSD, I've been surfing my entire life, still live in LA, still surf several times a week, didn't graduate college, still have a great career in IT as a network engineer. No magic prayers or gods required.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
