It conflicts with the idea of an "all powerful" God. Why would you take an inefficient path if you didn't have to?
Who wants to honk their own horn when they have an army of shills happy to do it for them?

I suppose out of 2 billion Christians there are some who see it this way, but that isn't the typical view on inspiration.
Catholic encyclopedia
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/08045a.htm
Quote:The grace of inspiration does not exempt the writer from personal effort, nor does it insure the perfection of his work from an artistic point of view.
Chicago statement on inerrancy:
http://www.bible-researcher.com/chicago1.html
Quote:WE AFFIRM that God in His work of inspiration utilized the distinctive personalities and literary styles of the writers whom He had chosen and prepared.
So this is just your way of giving credit to God for the creative works of people you endorse .. when you like the outcome, of course. Otherwise you'd deem it the work of the devil if you thought it promoted unbiblical ways. Of course if it wasn't useful polemically you wouldn't bother invoking supernatural agency at all. Do you have any idea how lame this looks to people outside the game you're playing?
