All religions have batshit crazy ideas in them that the followers hold dearly.

Islam: Splitting the moon and others.

Christianity: Resurrection.

Scentology: pretty much the whole thing.

Judaism: the flood, Exodus, etc.

JoHos: 144, 000 are chosen, the rest have to wait.

Mormonism: Magical tablets that no one saw and magic underwear.

Dying to live, living to die.
