Well they might stop subsidizing sugar beet and remove tariffs from importing sugar cane and sugar palm which are both vastly more efficient to the point that they effectively drove sugar beet out of production in the Free World and only clung on in the Warsaw Pact.
Brussels would never have subsidized failure to the point that it overran the continent and imposed tariffs to create the illusion of a market...
