It appears as though I will be doing Agency.
Honestly, it is the smartest route for me to go. It means that I will get paid much more than just a regular aide at a facility, which will also mean that I can work less days a week. Agency, right now, tends to pay CNAs 30+ dollars an hour. On top of that, the aide gets to choose at which facilities s/he wants to work.
I will shortly be receiving the information I need to get started.
I did a similar thing as a contract bookkeeper and worked for a while through an agency. I was considered "salaried personnel" so even if there was a gap between assignments I got paid by the agency. I worked some really good gigs through them and learned a lot. There was one assignment that was awful but the overall experience was positive. I have been gone two years and still get job matches emailed to me.
