Al Sieber (1843-1907) was a German-American soldier, Indian fighter, and Army scout. First wounded at Gettysburg, he went on to fight at Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, the Apache Wars, Cibecue and Big Dry Wash. Over the course of his military career, Sieber was wounded (at least) 28 times by bullets, arrows, knives and - once - by a spear. He died at the age of 63 when a boulder fell on him.
I think his spirit animal may have been Wile E. Coyote.
