deep inside the earth, at the core mantle boundary, there is layer of material made up of the same stuff as oceanic crust on the surface of the earth. Further more this material forms an inverted analogue of the topology on the earth’s surface, with inverted continents and mountains that protrudes downwards into the liquid iron core, and inverted ocean basins which are filled from below by liquid iron of the core. The liquid iron of the core even erode the tops of inverted mountains and deposits the eroded material in the upside down ocean basins.
