Theists simply compartmentalize, just like Trump people, to believe the things that make them feel good about themselves and ignore the rest, or rather blame it on someone else. It's mind games. You want a real answer? The only meaningful choice to be made is whether or not to believe in God. Most people believe in God. Believing in God does not guarantee you're going to Heaven, but at least you'll be in the drawing, so to speak. And Hell will be much worse for someone who doesn't believe in God, than someone who does believe in God.
You can believe these things, but of course you must understand that your belief in no way guarantees these things are true. And as I've pointed out to other theists here, just believing in god is not enough. You have to believe in the right god. If you get the wrong one, you are no better off than disbelieving completely, possibly worse even.
The fact most people believe in some god doesn't add any credibility to your position. For one, they don't agree on which god is real. Much of what they believe is mutually exclusive, which means they can't all be right.
I do think it's unique that you believe that belief in god doesn't guarantee you get into heaven, but apparently gets you better treatment in hell.
Why is it so?
