Arguing with God believers is beyond pointless

It causes offense to the very people that say those things themselves.

Once again, try to be nice to people. You know, do unto others. . .

You couldn't! You cannot devour his noodleness!

Bhavv Wrote:Im not trying to advance any cause, because atheism is not something you can advance - there is no possible way to make a god believer stop believing in God.

Atheism is a cause you can advance. It is entirely possible to make a believer renounce his or her beliefs. Just to cite a case: me.

Bhavv Wrote:Both the bible and the koran teach intolerance towards everyone else,

I know it is silly, but most Christians and Muslims do not take those parts literally.

Most of the teachings that can be found in those texts are morally good.

Bhavv Wrote:Untill then, my 'book' also says that religious people should be killed just for the fun of it because they say it too.

I assume you are not serious. Right?

Not 'kill for fun of it', but 'says' kill for the fun of it.

Like a video of some pastafarian guy that jokes about crusading against other religions. He 'says' it, but without meaning to actually do it.

'Do upon others what you wish to be done upon yourself' isnt the philosophy I follow, my philosophy is 'treat others how they treat you'.

Regardless of not every religious person being a nutcase, I have known far too many that are. I choose to treat religion exactly how it has treated me - intolerant, hateful, and yes, I have recieved quite a few death threats from hindus and muslims.

I don't think violent or aggressive behaivor is making things easier for you Bhavv. Reason is a better way to handle religious people. Also I don't think you should lower yourself to their level by being hateful, then your not better then them.

And if you really have to amuse yourself, Bhavv, surely there are better ways.

I have very many good Asian origin friends Bhavv, and I can see why you do what you say. Many Muslims are passionate to the point of violence, literally, which to me is the opposite to faith, and is a practice of the non faithful, ie those people born into the religion and not at all in any way practitioners. It's how Britain is described to be a Christian country. A minute minority are practitioners, the rest just adopt the label and use it to label their gang.

I don't know the same to be true of Hindus, Sikhs or Christians. So I wonder why you express violence to all religions. Hurt people hurt people. Heal yourself and free yourself from this misery mate.

I do my best to follow my version of the golden rule:

In real life I treat others as I EXPECT to be treated; with civility and respect. I expect nothing more and will accept nothing less.

I do not accept violence as a moral or effective means to an end.

Nor would I ever carry out any violence against anyone except for in self defense, but my mind still wishes that every Muslim / Christian / Jew / Hindu etc etc etc could be pushed off a cliff =D

It doesnt matter how I am to treat anyone else, no one person with religious morals where I live would ever treat me the same and would have to insult and hate me or not being one of them, I will never believe that treating others how you want to be treated will ever work in my life with the people that I am surrounded by everyday.

I do not get treated how I treat others, I get treated far far worse, and I will refuse to be as weak or submissive as you people who havnt got a clue about how aggressive religion in some communities can be, and I will choose to fight back and oppose the plague of religion.

Thing is Bhavv to not make yourself suffer by your actions. Other people harm themselves by letting their hate get out of control, but there's no need for you to join the party. Don't get me wrong, anger has it's place, and can be fully justified.

That reminds me of story I once read: A man discovers that at noon in exactly one week, every evil person in the world would suddenly become precisely 2 feet tall. He tries to tell people but no one believes him.Disheartened goes to bed the night before the event.

He wakes to discovered he is now 2 feet tall.

Your statement is arguably the most intolerant and bigoted I've had the misfortune of reading on any internet forum
