What is something which 'Defies Definition' Called?

I was thinking about this the other day. We don't seem to have a single word for something which defied definition.

Any ideas?

I am fascinated by it. I TRY not to read parts of the dictionary almost every night before I go to bed, but I just can't help myself.

I even missed it, I was thinking along the lines of a contradiction, like we know the definition but, it's different somehow.

Settled now either way.
