No no no no NO!

Evolution does not confer purpose.

And cultural assumptions made off of "evolution" is bollocks.

From a reductionist sense, a man is a bag of sperm meant to facilitate genetic recombination for the construction of another organism. That is the very, very, very stripped down and reduced explanation of a male's unique role.

There is nothing else implied in the above. So nothing can really be drawn, especially in deriving cultural meaning.

Trying to make cultural gender roles from "evolution" is like trying to make a square circle. It is a non-sequitor and based on bad science.

There is nothing you can really extract from the existence of maleness a purpose. Probably because there is not 'purpose' in life other than survive long enough to reproduce...

I'm sorry to have to disagree with you there. That would reduce all life to a bacterial level of just eating, breeding, shitting, and dying. Now, I'm not saying that life has a LARGER purpose than this. I'm just saying that evolution has developed roles for both males and females. We don't even have to look at it from a human perspective. Take for example, a lion pride. Lazy male lions, hog all the food, sleep all day, kill cubs not their own. But they do have a purpose. Protect the pride so that it can grow and thrive. Evolution created them to be larger, stronger, more aggressive for that purpose. Just as man, through evolution has become larger and stronger so they can protect their clan, hunt the food, build the home...ect.
Here's to you as good as you are. Here's to me as bad as I am. As bad as I am and as good as you are, I'm as good as you are, as bad as I am.
