Where did it say she was a gypsy?

This isn't some racist outburst, bro.
Cigany generally marry young, and have children at young age.
I knew that she was from Romania(0-1), and by the ages, I just guessed that she was a Gypsy.

Never accused you of racism, just did not see a gypsy reference.
I think it is a bit presumptious to assume she is a gypsy though, Especially as they appear to be quite a small minority (1977 census has 230.000 gypsys in romania recent estimates puts the number somewhere between 1 and two million out of a total population of 23.000.000).

Unless they are distinctive gypsy names, are they?

There are many girls who fall pregnant at a young age, I have met a few,(not caused any I can assure you) especially from deprived areas, we have a zone in gosport called rowner which seems to be a ghetto of young girls pushing prams.

Now behold the horror of british gypsies.

Well, there is no reference, but you simply know certain things when you see them. If I'd have shared this story with my friends on facebook, they probably would have said the same thing.

I know that the british "gypsies" or "gypos" as they were called in some brad pitt movie, are not related to the Cigany that I know.
They are just called gypsies just because they are nomadic like the cigany.

Well, that is especially why I assumed it. The romani minority are generally poor, and of low education. As I said, they marry young, and reproduce young.
Even a romanian would probably say the same thing. Perhaps I should ask them.

My partner's son is 15, if he had a kid at 16, i'd be a 26/27 year old grandad.

I have a thing against sweeping generalisations.

My father will pidgeon hole a whole race on the evidence of meeting one member of it.

My eldest son is also 15.
So far i havent seen any evidence of that sort of behaviour, but then i'd probably be the last to know.

Yeah, sometimes you just know things, like who is or is not a member of any given race or ethnic group. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be surprised that your friends would make similar comments...............

For example, when I took a look at that picture of you, I "just knew" that you weren't full-blooded anything. Jerkoff

Even if, I rest easy knowing that I'm not...and not....and can actually relate to an ethnicity both by blood, history and of course, culture.
It really matters little if I had a few impurities that thinned the blood of the previous generations.
I am determined to make my blood as thick as the ayrag I drink.

The things I "just know" don't seem as plausible as the things you "just know" when it comes to ethnicity? Why not? "My people" have noses like bloodhounds, that's why the british kept us around, also, because we're made of rubber. Angel
