I think it is a bit presumptious to assume she is a gypsy though, Especially as they appear to be quite a small minority (1977 census has 230.000 gypsys in romania recent estimates puts the number somewhere between 1 and two million out of a total population of 23.000.000).

There are many girls who fall pregnant at a young age, I have met a few,(not caused any I can assure you) especially from deprived areas, we have a zone in gosport called rowner which seems to be a ghetto of young girls pushing prams.

Well, there is no reference, but you simply know certain things when you see them. If I'd have shared this story with my friends on facebook, they probably would have said the same thing.

I know that the british "gypsies" or "gypos" as they were called in some brad pitt movie, are not related to the Cigany that I know.
They are just called gypsies just because they are nomadic like the cigany.

Well, that is especially why I assumed it. The romani minority are generally poor, and of low education. As I said, they marry young, and reproduce young.
Even a romanian would probably say the same thing. Perhaps I should ask them.

Even if, I rest easy knowing that I'm not...and not....and can actually relate to an ethnicity both by blood, history and of course, culture.
It really matters little if I had a few impurities that thinned the blood of the previous generations.
