Revelations makes me laugh, it's always portrayed as the final battle between heaven and hell.
But it is just god heaping even more torment and suffering upon the earth, and apparently for no good reason other than he's a cunt.

Not only that but it's meant to be the way things will turn out at some obscure future time, as if the end of the script has been leaked to us in advance. A revelation, you might almost say. What makes me laugh is the idea that this ostensibly all-powerful god is apparently unable to rewrite this script or even to come up with its own ad libs.

God loves having his ego stroked. The size of his ego is astonishing! You must worship and worship and worship and sing praise for all eternity or....burn for all eternity. Either way, you're going to hell.
There is no choice in heaven or hell. It's do as I say or be harmed in the most horrific way. God is a malicious dictator. Can't see how anyone would want it to be true.

Aren't you atheists frightened that you might be wrong and then when you die Jesus is going to be very angry with you for not being his friend and send you to hell for punishment, even if it isn't for ever?

Wouldn't it be better to accept Jesus as your friend and master even if you have trouble believing it because then you would have at least made an effort and tried and when you die he might not be so angry and look kindly on you because he does really love you after all?
