The state doesn't tell them to do it, nor is their blessing funded by the state.
I don't know where this has been violating the seperation of church and state.

And if some people want to unbless a road then they may do so on their own accord.

On which basis?

On the exact same basis under which you just stated that people could bless them if they wanted... -_-'

Freedom of religion or lack thereof.

That's the reason they undertook this rather unnecessary thing?
Why, really?
Unbless the road?
Like, Christians bless the road because they believe it'll be blessed. Atheists know that the road is not blessed even if they poured gallons of holy water on top of it.
So why really pour some of their own?
It just reminds me of two children playing stupid pranks on another, it has nothing to do with freedom of religion.

Well mehmet, some atheists are so disillusioned with the infiltration of religion that they resort to what amounts to silly gestures. Their efforts could be focused on something much more important like keep ID out of schools.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I get what your saying but at the same time you can't be fine with people blessing public property and then criticize another group for unblessing it. Why they did it is irrelevant.

Well, I think that atheists are atheists, and theists are theists...
Religion also has a social nature, whereas atheism is more of a personal belief. Seeing things like this makes me think that the nature of atheism changes from a personal way of thinking, to a collective way of thinking.
And that collectiveness seems to only be unfolding in the USA. Weird, I've never seen such a thing anywhere else on earth.

They do not *criticize* them, I think, because they think that atheists do not have the power to unbless the road they blessed in the name of Jesus.
They just think that this is not a criticism towards the blessing of the road, it's a type of criticism towards the people who blessed the road.
So this is not a blessing-unblessing thingy. Both parties know that eachother's efforts are in vain, so what's the point?
Besides, blessing private property does not really change the fact that it's still private property, and that my car can equally go over the road as a christians', while a christian will not forbid me to use the road.

All humans have a social nature. Religion just uses it for its own means. All belief is somewhat personal. (unless they are really stupid) I'm not sure what you mean by the collectiveness. If your talking about the change to more active atheism they are standing up for their ideals which is entirely resonable.

Belief is a personal thing. Religion requires people to band together, socialize with eachother and etc.

What I'm talking about "collectiveness", I think that atheists in the US have been taking this shit more and more seriously, and banding together, doing "active atheism", whatever that means...
Like, how do you apply the unbelief into a supernatural power into your daily life?
There isn't much to stand up for, really. If you would stand up, say for communist revolution, I'd say, yes, this man is politically motivated.
If you'd stand up, say for Jesus, I'd say, this man is religiously motivated.
If you stand up for...atheism.What exactly do you stand up for? Or do you oppose that the other man stands up for Jesus?

If this fucker had any influence here I would jump in and start making a point. No wonder people take it more serious.

You don't rely on god to deal with your problem for you. Easy.

They aren't just standing up for atheism. They are standing for the right to freedom of religion and separation of church and state. Christianity has a direct effect on the laws in the US. If we know anything about the bible it is that it is full of bad unethical things. If you have one foot in the door with the bible it wouldn't be too much of a stretched to see the twisted values added to law.

Next time I see a baby being carried out of a church after it has been baptised I am going to run up to it and throw unholy water in it's face to unbaptise the lil' sob.
