America is in debt. Its that simple. Or maybe they realized that playing God is not in the best interest of the Human race.

what's worse, playing god, or acting like there really is one?
debt? the feds print money whenever they need it. the current investment is .5% of the national budget that goes to nasa. this is hardly a big deal to even double to contribution. going into space is not about finding if god exists, that would be a waste of resources, it's about explaining the universe and our minor role in it - getting some more exposure of the big bang, may just explain more about how the universe was created. it's about discovery and learning.
