Psychology of Religion
I'm taking this course next semester, but there are some things I've learned in the past that seem to be at play. Mainly, I'd think the schemas are to blame. The religious get so caught up in their own schemas about God, Jesus, Allah, ect that they won't challenge them. Thoughts?

Religion exists to impose intellectual conformity, and can not exist without intellectual conformity. This is why they impose a schema, and can never truly tolerate any genuine challenges to their schemas.
