Maybe you did and maybe you didn't. I've had atheists tell me a lot of things you might disagree with. I can only speak for the majority of Christians here in that no, non-belief is not a "one way ticket to eternity in a firepit" or whatever you are on about.

I beg to differ, but in either case, we are talking about Heaven within the context of Christianity (done many times on both sides in this forum and even within your own post), so this is a bit of a non sequitur.

Really? because according to your theology god will forgive anything, as long as you are prepared to ask for forgiveness and accept jesus. So the only unforgivable sin is unbelief, doesn't matter how good a life you've lived as an atheist, you're going to hell.

This is flatly wrong, any sin against the Holy Spirit precludes forgiveness (presumption, despair, obstinacy in sin, envy of another's spiritual good, impugning of the known truth, and final impenitence--not so much, as some atheists think, yelling about the Holy Spirit on youtube ), and as such the only ticket to hell as such would be final impenitence.

Anyone who strives only for the absolute goodness and always seeks out God, never losing Hope or Charity, can also be saved.

No. What does "accept jeebus" even mean here? Even Satan believes in Jesus. Assuming you mean he goes through a perfect contrition: that is, he comes to hate any and all sin no matter how small, especially his own; not out of fear of Hell or want of Heaven but merely because it is contrary to God, who is all good; with a firm resolution to make a confession and do penance, yes, he may go to Heaven if his perfect contrition is intense enough.

Otherwise, if he simply makes a confession for any other reason, if his contrition is less than perfect, he will probably have to do a lot of time in Purgatory to say the least to remove temporal effects of sin (though you can also remove them via penance and suffering on Earth).

And here is where you are in disagreement with most of the other Christians I've encountered. The vast majority have indicated that non-belief is enough to send you to an eternity in hell. You guys don't even agree with each other! Why should I listen to any of you?

So, are you saying that as long as we regret our mistakes but don't believe in god we will still get into heaven, or is it that not being impenitent requires that your regret be targeted towards god, thereby making it impossible for the non-believer to make it to heaven?
