Arthur Conan Doyle certainly believed in fairies. The even wrote serious book "The coming Of The Fairies".
Apparently the book was the direct result of poor Old Sir Arthur being conned (along with perhaps millions of others) by "The Case Of the Cottingley Fairies." I was shown 'original' 8x10 prints of the photos by a Theosophist friend 1971. (I thought they were obvious fakes and said so. She got cross)

Fairies may not be real, but leprechauns most assuredly are!! Whilst in Ireland, I met several blokes (in a pub near Blarney Castle) who SWORE they had actually SEEN leprechauns WITH THEIR OWN EYES!! As luck would have it,on each occasion,it was late at night whilst walking home from the pub in the moonlight.
