Our Oceans:
Was watching a documentary on ABC Australia the other day about the Oceans.

Did you know there is 10 times more plastic in the ocean than there is sealife?

We are doing a good job.

I find that very hard to believe.

Agreed. You need to back up claims like this with valid sources.

I believe God put us here to cover the globe in plastic and destroy all life. Almost there!

I knew we had a purpose! Big Grin

Now let's get busy destroying the natural world for our own selfish needs and desires with absalutly no regard for other free living things on this planet.Devil

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Key word: Say.

Saying something is not proof, it's hearsay. I'm talking about backing up his claims with links to evidence from studies/research done by reliable scientists/researchers.

Believe it or not. It is true. The documentary was about scientists in the middle of the Pacific dredging samples. Most are extremely small pieces.

Like your knowledge on the subject.

Nice little jab there, but you miss the point. If you're going to make a claim, back it up. Or everyone here is not going to believe you. That doesn't mean we lack knowledge, it means we are logical and skeptical and will only believe new things based on the evidence supporting them.

You can just make blanket statements. You have explain what you're talking about and provide links before people take you seriously.

Are you serious. You need evidence that we are polluting the World/Oceans to an extreme level. Where have you had your head. Any logical person would already know this info, understand it, and agree with it.
But what do I see, scepticism, like it's not happening or isn't possible. It not like what I said was beyond reasonable doubt or even a little doubt. The FACT is we are polluting the Ocean and the planet as a whole. Wake up and smell the smog.
You can carry on about evidence all you want, but what you need to do is take a look outside. Better yet, go outside and have a look around the place. Go to the beach, park, lake, river, take a look. Next time you drive somewhere take a look at the side of the road. Where do you think all that rubbish ends up when it rains. I'll give youy one guess.

Is it the Ocean? Bingo......! Hello....1 + 1 = 11.

I sometimes think alot of you spend way to much time in front of your computers and have no idea what the real world is all about, let alone the creatures that inhabit it.
Wait a moment, do you need evidence that other animals exist. I've got your evidence. Walk over to your window, open it, and have a listen. Can your hear anything? Unless, ofcourse, you live in a massive city, then I pitty you and your lungs.

Grow, consume, plunder, destroy, faster, faster. Scepticism, evidence, denial.

You say you have knowledge. Show me your evidence that you have knowledge. You saying so is just hearsay!

So why should I take you seriously?
