Tu quoque. Look it up,muppet.

Oh, FYI I've had a lot of teachers, including at university where I studied different mythologies and belief systems.

Yeah, yeah... Appeals to authority don't impress me. I don't care if all of your teachers and everyone here agrees with you either.

People who think for themselves gain my respect, whether they agree with me or not. Those who sit back and have their "truths" dictated to them without doing their own work and forming their own opinions, are worthless fucks who only want to be accepted by the masses.

BTW, what part(s) of the Bible do you consider non-fiction?

The numbers on the pages.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Be fair,I understand some scholars think some of the people mentioned actually existed, although there is no consensus which ones, nor can anything written ABOUT them be accepted as necessarily true.. The books are myth, not history.

I understand Pontius Pilatus and Herod Agrippa were probably real people, probably a few more. Can't think of any for the Torah.

Tangent: How long do you think catfish will honour us with his presence before getting his panties all out of focus and flouncing off? Doesn't matter, just about ready to bung it on ignore. You can't ignore 'cause you know that somewhere, sometime, someone will actually get into a legitimate debate with me and you are truly interested in what I have to say as it could be the end of "Christianity" as you know it.

That or I am just an attention whore and love a good rant from morons.

Of course I can,I may,and I just have. That means I can no longer see anything you post

Untrue;so far you have only been a minor irritation, but I've seen no indication of a capacity for critical thinking. I don't know you, and truly don't care about your personal views of the mythology and superstitions contained in The Bible. You're history sonny.

Probably more than latter than the former eh?

I also don't believe in the pagan concept of human sacrifice for attonement of sins.

So once again you will not state what you actually believe or defend it, sounds like a person who is afraid of what he believes. Just because you do not believe as I do does not mean that what I believe is not true nor does it make what you believe true.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Quick, before you lose it GC, turn that inwards. You may never have another opportunity like this. Something well considered and reasonable (about god-no less) just escaped your mind.
