I think my plasma is stuffed

A 50 inch LG plasma,bought 25 May 2010. Cost me $2000. 12 months warranty
Over the last week or so it has developed a light green tint,with some changes to some pixels which go away after a few minutes. The tint remains,on live TV or playback. I think it might be stuffed.
Here in South Australia, there is a concept in consumer law called 'implied warranty'. I have written LG, arguing that in this case, the implied warranty is 5 years.
If LG is difficult, I will have a chat with my mate who is prosecuting barrister (like a US ADA) to see what I can do. Perhaps letter advising of legal advice and threatening to sue in the small claims court. (no lawyers needed, so costs will be minimal if I lose) Fuck 'em ;2 years on a big ticket item is unconscionable. (another legal concept)
