Of course not. Tongue

I was in the staff anyways (just not an admin), so we thought that we should still bring another member into the staff to cover up the empty spot after Shell's retirement.

Ah, so you cheated Wink! Actually, it's a bit of a linguistic chicanery, supposedly about the English Spelling Reform. As Wikipedia says "Linguists have pointed out that the placement of the letters in the constructed word is in fact inconsistent with the claimed pronunciation." On one level, it's my way of protesting what is usually called Americanised spelling; on another level, the one involving reality, it's a bit of nonsense which appeals to my fondness for the absurd.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

There is no 's' in Americanized.

Hope this helps.

I also said I don't stand on ceremony. All I said is that it's usually called that (Stimbo rolls D20 saving roll, gets 14. Applies +1 Dodge; barely makes it). I understand that it's illiterate to end words with "-ise" in English english; it just looks ugly to my eyes.

There needs to be an emoticon for "I'm yanking Stimbo's chain" on here.

Oh wait, there it is: Angel

Hey, my chain is long enough to withstand any amount of yanking - knock yourself out. In my previous, I was going by what John Thaw said when he was being Inspector Morse. A bit esoteric, but the -ise vs. -ize distinction turned out to be the gotcha clue that cracked the whole case. It was his opinion that -ise is illiterate. It's one of the extremely rare instances (barring typos) when I'm willing to sacrifice literate and/or grammatical correctness for aesthetics; as I said, -ize just looks wrong and ugly to me.
