Min,there is also a porn cartoon with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. (or is that now 'The Seven Little People'?)

Grimm Fairy Tales are Fucked Up

Tarsem Singh played off that theme on his recent adaptation of Snow White. It is nothing nearly as good as his work when he did The Fall, but there are some fun details.
Trying to update my sig ...
Well, it's not the brother's Grimm, but Hans Christian Andersen's books have been significantly watered down for Disney as well. I have a collection of his stories.
The Little Mermaid is all kinds of fucked up. Remember, how Ariel couldn't talk when she was newly human in the Disney film? In Andersen's original version, the little mermaid actually has her tongue cut out by the witch, which is the real reason she couldn't talk. Also, remember how Ariel was stumbling around when she first gets her legs. In the original version, the witch gives her a potion that, as it changes her from a mermaid to a human, feels like she is being cut in half by a sword and every step she takes on her new human legs feels like she is stepping on knives. The prince tells Ariel that he will probably marry her, but then falls in love with another princess who had taken care of him after a shipwreck (yes, the little mermaid saved him from drowning, but this other princess found him once the little mermaid dragged him to shore). He marries the princess on a ship, and the morning after their wedding the little mermaid's sisters come to the surface with all of their hair cut off. They tell the little mermaid that they sold their hair to the sea witch so that she could return to the ocean. All she needed to do was take the knife they were offering her, plunge it into the prince, and when his blood washed over her she would change back. So the little mermaid goes in to where the prince is laying with his new bride but cannot do it and so throws the knife into the ocean. Just then the sun rises, and she dies. She turns into sea foam momentarily and then her spirit floats into the air. The prince and princess wake up, to find the little princess/mermaid gone and just assume she committed suicide. I loved Terry Pratchett's commentary about Rumplestiltskin; apparently from an old folk tale warning about the dangers of masturbation. "Ask yourself, what is a stilt with rumpled skin"

Me too;the oldest book I have. Given to me by my maternal grandparents in 1955. A beautiful book, with wonderful colour plates, but meant for children. (I was 8)
I believe that most of these old fairy tales are available for free these days on Kindle. I'm trying to read through them so I can bring the sickest of the sick to this thread.

Probably, there are a stunning number of books out of copyright available free on line Plus ,if you are a dishonesty person,or simply reject the notion of intellectual property rights, you can get almost anything from pirates.
Well, I can't bring myself to do that. I wouldn't have much of a living if I rejected intellectual property rights. There is a library up the street, anyway.
