Let's face it, no one has a magic "cure the economy" plan, but let's hope that the american populace aren't idiotic enough to vote in someone that is reverting to the tried and tested George Bush Technique for ruining an economy.

Shocking as it is for me, 45% of my fellow voting Americans will vote Republican even if they were to run Satan as their nominee. Remember 2004. Take nothing for granted.

I was only 10 in 2004, but I can distinctly remember a sense of crushing disappointment upon learning Bush was re-elected.

It might be a secret from the Fox News crowd.... they can't handle the big words... but the NY Times ran this analysis earlier this month.

The bottom paragraph from that article really says it all:

The Romney campaign decided long ago that it didn’t need a real economic plan of its own when it could just bash the president’s. “As long as I continue to speak about the economy, I’m going to win,” he said last month. Voters, he is saying, need not inquire further.

Just lie as much as you want, and attack obama repeatedly ,and without merit, then repeat.............and if some hippie asks what would you do differently? Just say what their favorite vice president told those filthy liberals back in 2004, when they asked him about the economy

The problem is that people demand a single "magic" solution. The problem is actually quite simple. We need to cut defense spending, raise taxes on the rich, eliminate tax loopholes, and reign in entitlement programs....including corporate welfare.

The trick is to find a consensus willing to do all that. The republicunts are only in it to reward the rich and the democrats lack the political will to stick to a plan.

BTW, we see the same problem with almost every issue. Gun violence requires strict control of assault weapons ( yes, they DO exist!) AND we need to do something about the conditions which lead to violence. Don't hold your breath waiting for a consensus to build around that program, either.
